Guys Seriously if i will tell something about odia films then it will be a source of laugh for you ppl. Because I do not watch them due to their heavy influence of emotion. I fear that I may cry in the public . Seriously whenever I watch them with my family member or my girl friend(with their influence) I realy cry while watching them. So I do not do so. Ya if i will spell the movie name then it will be sagar samuka because i have cried a lot in that movie.

Ya, the Oriya movies are more though-provoking. May be it is due to the fact that they are very closely related to our life-style and also we understand every single moment of the movie in great detail.

My Fav Movie

Postby arun » Jan 30th, '07, 07:08

For me It would be "Gapa Hele Bi Sata". ("Aei Banara Chhai" is one of the songs in that movie).. And "Sesha Shrabana" would come at the second place :-)

well I dont watch oriya films so often.but I like some of the films but cant remember the names. Neways i like to watch the Sidhant movies. But the thing i hate abt oriya films is remakes. There are very rare original films in ollywood than the remakes.

INDRADHANU RA CHHAI:
Susant Mishra’s Indradhanura Chhai (Shadows of the Rainbow) shows how urbanization and the consequent rise of modern consumerism have affected the traditional social and family structures in Bhubaneswar. Against the backdrop of this changing cityscape, Indradhanura Chhai explores the multidimensional conflicts of its characters, their changing perceptions about human nature and personal relationships. With hypnotic visual rhythms, Susant Mishra shows the lives of three women living in the modernizing town of Bhubaneswar, its skyline dominated by magnificent temple architecture.

AW AKARE AA:
In Aw Aakare Aa (A, B, She), Subas Das has tried to express the pain and agony of children entrapped inside the four walls of our present education system. The film is the story of a school teacher and her attempts to reform the system in vain. Refusing to compromise, she finally resigns and starts her own school to translate her ideas into reality.
