IT Companies in Bhubaneswar/Orissa

It has been many years we are hearing IT boom coming to Orissa and Bhubaneswar specifically. But is there any progress happenning in real? Bhubaneswar is still lacking IT jobs. Very few small room-sized IT companies have offices there. Worst is that Bhubaneswar does not have easy connectivity from anywhere, via flight.

It's time to think the future of this city. While Noida, Hyderabad and Gurgaon etc are developing with IT infrastructure, we should do enough to facilitate IT in bhubaneswar. That is the only field which can create millions of direct and indirect jobs in Orissa.

IT in Odisha?? Sounds like joke. I am not a pessimist. But the frustration with finding Orissa information online made me write this.
Have a look at BSNL Orissa website. It's like nobody ever cares for it. I can do better website for FREE if BSNL contacts me.

I tried to search a name on the online phone directory. Only God knows what logic they use in the search.

Even I want Odisha to develop in IT and related fields. This is no time for the politicians and beurocrats to hold the ancient 'great tradition' of being backward.

Definitly there is boom, one we all need to have more pataince , honest and cooperation. When ever new thing will develeope, it needs time and at first vollentieership. Now can you tell what type work you all are doing now. Baasically my self a automobile engineer, I do lots off vollenteer work. This is the time we need to do more work without any result for our future . amyway I may bouring you.

I think, there is no pace in groth in IT sector in bbsr/orissa.
if u count big companies, infy, mahindra-satyam and tcs. It seems tcs is growing its setup.
But after satyam scandal, grouth is none for mahindra-satyam.
infy - no highlight, unlike its doing in bangalore, kkota, mysure etc
wipro - not sure

other than those, we heard lot abt mindtree,hexaware etc. may be due to last recession its delayed

i think,
out gov shd be more proactive to invite, give some SEZ type facility to IT companies.
Our gov IT representive shd attend nascoom IT events and other similar events to showcase the facilities and invite them
