Deteriorated Bhubaneswar Airport

Sad as you know, travelling to and from Bhubaneswar airport is a pain. There is no official transport arranged by the authority. No prepaid taxi facility. So if you land there, you are taken for a ride by the cabbies. There must be a mass transport facility to the nearest public transport point (may be till Navin Nivas for example) 30 mins after an aircraft lands.

No wonder why the travellers number is decreasing day by day and flights to/from Orissa are being withdrawn permanently. Its a shame to spoil the airport for the benefit of couple of local cab owners. Anyone got any thoughts?

There are prepaid taxis in Bhubaneswar airport. But prices are too high.
If you happen to take a taxi outside, beware of cheats. Some would just ask you doulbe the agreed amount after you reach your destination. The best solution is to tell them to drive to the nearest police station.
